I got to go on a girls trip to Colorado with one of my closest friends, Krisi. We went with three other girls from Houston to the Deeper Still conference then Krisi and I drove to Edwards, Colorado. I have never been to Colorado in the summer. It was just gorgeous. We both have 5 kids so we enjoyed the the time away. Really we missed our husbands and kept saying, "wish the guys were here!"

Krisi is an awesome cook. We got to eat at a restaurant that has a few seats in the kitchen. We had a blast learning new things and getting to know the chef. We think she will be famous someday so we went ahead and had our picture taken with her.

We were going to get a convertible to make the drive from Denver to Edwards. Because two of their cheaper convertibles had problems, they gave us a Volo at the same price. WOW!!! I had so much fun driving that thing. Now I know why (men especially) want performance machines like this.

Landon at the Georgia ING Marathon

Landon finished his first half-marathon in one hour and forty-seven minutes this morning. That's 13.1 miles if you're taking notes. Here's a quick video that Barrett captured at the finish line. Watch carefully for the good looking young man in the white hat. He zips by pretty fast.

We signed MK up for a preschool music class at church. It's interactive and fun. I had to start teaching a class for adults a few weeks ago, so Barrett stepped in as Maddie's partner. He shot a little video of her during "instruments" time yesterday. She needs to work on her rhythm, but we feel she's got her grandfather's gift for the drums.
