Madeline Kate has arrived!!! We got the call early on Thursday morning that our birth mother was in labor in San Antonio. We got Jenifer on a flight a few hours later and the rest of us loaded the van up for the 16 hour cross-country drive.
Jen arrived at the hospital about fifteen minutes before Maddie Kate arrived. Praise God for perfect timing! A few minutes after Maddie Kate entered our world, she was calling us on the phone (I think we were in Montgomery, AL), letting us hear the beautiful cries of our new baby.
She is a cute little gal, weighing in at 6 pounds 14 ounces and standing 20.5 inches tall. She has beautiful, thick, dark hair and a sweet disposition. We're praying that she stays that way at least until she's 21.
Everything went great at the hospital. Jen was even able to get her own room so that she could enjoy the baby through the night. Some of our San Antonio friends were able to come visit there at the hospital over the past 24 hours.
The kids and I arrived today (Friday) at about 1:00 and it was party, party, party at the hospital. The kids have been fighting over her (we'll see how long that lasts) and she is definitely the center of attention.

The Jimenez family is jumping for joy that God has brought about this miraculous event. What started as a prayer has been manifested in a promise. We rejoice that "God has given you your heart's desire and not withheld the request of your lips"(Psalm 21:2). We look forward to meeting Madeline Kate and welcoming her to the JFBC family! I am so, so, so excited for ya'll! Have you gotten any sleep yet? PS in other excited news, my mom is a Christian and has accepted Jesus as her personal savior! Prayers answered!

I talked to Diane this morning in North Carolina and she shared the wonderful news. Madeline Kate is beautiful. Congratulations! Diane is so excited that you will be visiting soon. You have a wonderful family....may God continue to bless you and your ministry.
